So excited to share with you these photos from Rebecca & Paul’s Industrial Chic Calgary wedding last fall.
We first met at the Calgary Wedding Fair and were thrilled to be invited to join their celebration in Calgary. They love the the mountains, like us, so last spring we started planning their engagement session in the Canadian Rockies. However Mother Nature had different plans and after several reschedules due to good ol’ springtime mountain weather, they finally said no matter, let’s do it! This fun couple took on the rain like champs. We got these photos, and learnt that they’re one of the most fab, relaxed, and lovely couples we’ve had the privilege to come to know!
They love travelling and having date nights. And they also love great art and really yummy food. They wanted to honour that in their big day so they chose the Westinghouse Foundry for an industrial chic wedding ceremony. It turned out that this was one of the last weddings to be held at this fabulous indie art house space that’s home to iconic Canadian fashion designer, Paul Hardy.
They had their reception at Teatro Ristorante (one of mine and Raf’s favourites ). Teatro has cool, edgy Italian food and over 10,000 bottles of wine in its vaults (literally the old bank vaults from when the building was built as a Dominion Bank in 1911)!!
Though we do most of our work in the Canadian Rockies, we’re licensed in Calgary and Cochrane, and we’re SO EXCITED when we get to go into the city and work with all the cool architectural elements of downtown. There’s gorgeous nature areas right in downtown Calgary too, so we get the best of both worlds!
Raf joined them for their September wedding. (It rained again. But thankfully not all day!) I’m sure you’ll agree their wedding was gorgeous. A huge, happy, lovely congrats to Rebecca and Paul!
